Erika Medveczky

Head Coach

Erika Medveczky is an elite sprint canoeist and accomplished coach with decades of experience in high-performance paddling. A native of Budapest, Hungary, she competed internationally for Hungary at the highest levels of the sport, including the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, where she placed 4th in the Women’s K-2 500m event. Erika is also a multiple-time ICF Canoe Sprint World Championship medalist, earning podium finishes across K-1, K-2, and K-4 events during her competitive career.

Following her success as an athlete, Erika transitioned into coaching, bringing her Olympic-level experience and technical expertise to developing paddlers. As a coach at Lanier Canoe & Kayak Club, she focuses on building strong fundamentals, efficient technique, and a disciplined training mindset, helping athletes progress confidently through the sprint racing pathway while fostering a positive and supportive team culture.
